Hello! I’m glad you’re here. My name is Daniela (she/her) and I am a licensed clinical social worker. Over the last decade, I have worked with folks from various backgrounds and have found that most everyone can benefit from a safe, warm space to explore and process inner aspects of themselves. Coming from a stance of curiosity rather than judgment, I guide folks to finding meaning and truth they already had within themselves. My approach is non-pathologizing, trauma-focused, and sensitive to the impact of current global and social stressors. I practice therapy from a relaxed stance and I go at your pace, as I believe there are things to learn and explore in each stage of the therapeutic process. Additionally, I am fully bilingual and can provide psychotherapy in English or Spanish (or both!). I am trained in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and am certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, and Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in PTSD, sexual trauma, sexual abuse, interpersonal violence, and generational trauma. I also have extensive experience working with folks navigating depression, anxiety, relational conflict, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, immigration stressors, expats or those who have relocated, and “third culture” folks. There is power in having someone witness our process as we heal, mourn, and rediscover ourselves and it is an honor to provide that space for others. If I seem like a good fit for you, I look forward to witnessing your process and bringing compassion and support to your journey.
